A CCSL inclues a continuity script. This is shot by shot description of the film with accurate time code. It also includes the dialogue transcription and spotting list. CDSL covers the dialogue and spotting list but does not include the shot description, which is a very time consuming endeavour.

For closed captioning, the CCSL includes all dialogues written out verbatim, adhering to the American Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines.
